A reverse osmosis membrane is a semi-permeable membrane synthesised using a special process in order to achieve the phenomenon of reverse osmosis of an aqueous solution.
The pore size of a reverse osmosis membrane is 0.0001 microns (μm), and only the solvent in the aqueous solution - water - can pass through, while its solutes cannot pass through the reverse osmosis membrane.
In the water purification system of a water purifier, the reverse osmosis membrane refers exclusively to the formed reverse osmosis membrane cartridge. The reverse osmosis membrane cartridge is the core component of the water purification system of a water purifier, and only with the use of a reverse osmosis membrane can it be called a water purifier.

The use of ultra-static pressure pumps to generate high pressure osmosis, so that water molecules and ionic mineral elements through a layer of reverse osmosis membrane, while the vast majority of heavy metals, organic matter, as well as bacteria, viruses, etc. dissolved in the water can not be retained through the reverse osmosis membrane.
With the principle of reverse osmosis, impure substances such as pyrogens, filtered viruses, bacteria, toxins, compounds, heavy metals (arsenic, cobalt, cadmium, mercury, etc.), toxic substances, metals, salts, free ions and other substances hazardous to human health are removed from the water. The reverse osmosis membrane isolates impurities from pure water and creates pure drinking water.
